Yes, locally there are several other rental cabins along the Ohio River and the nearest hotels are located in Tell City, Indiana which is about 20 miles away and Ferdinand, Indiana which is about 30 miles away.

We allow parking at each cabin for those who are your overnight guests. We provide a large parking field with a beautifully lit trail to the venue for your wedding guests. Handicap and elderly are able to be driven straight up to the event venue door.

Our property is located deep within the Hoosier National Forest and is extremely secluded from the world. You can feel at ease knowing your weekend is all about your groups private experience! We often say if you think you're lost, keep going, you're almost here! Its absolute serenity in nature

Even as remote as our property is, we have FREE WiFi in every cabin, the event venue and most locations across the whole property. The best location for cell service is by the bath house!

We have a restroom facility just a short walk down the path and only about 100 feet from the Gables. It has both men's and women's restrooms, hot water showers and is kept very clean and stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and soap. We focus on cleanliness at Twin Lakes!

We take your safety very serious! All cabins are keypad controlled, so only you have access to your cabin. Pathways and public areas are well lit. We also provide 24/7 CCTV video surveillance of all public areas and both entrances. We also have a local guard cat named Mitchie!

Welcome to the forest! Our property is abundant with nature. You may see a variety of creatures including deer, squirrels, herons, many types of birds, fish, racoons, chipmunks, turkeys or our resident kitty cat, Mitchie! You may also encounter different types of bees and other bugs like lady bugs, stink bugs, beetles and similar little crawlers! It's part of what makes the forest diverse!

We treat our cabins with pest control every month to reduce their entry and keep your stay clean. Please understand, you are staying in the forest and we can't control everything. It's the nature of our beautiful forest location!

We apologize for the inconvenience, but no. We do sell bundles of wood on property for $10 each.

Why do we do this? Pests! There are many types of invasive bugs that live under the bark of trees and eat the tree until it dies. We have been hit hard in recent years with our Ash and White Pines succumbing to the damage. Guests who bring their own wood may bring a new bug not from this area and it can cause us irreparable harm to our trees. Please be respectful of this policy
